Valeda Bernadette Hasenberg

Valeda Bernadette Hasenberg (Belisle), 94, passed away on Saturday August 9, 2025 in Tomahawk. Bernadette was born on March 24, 1931 in Ontonagon County, Mich. to Leo J. and Louise E. Belisle. She married her husband, Gerald H. “Bucky” Hasenberg in Ewen, Mich. She spent most of her life serving others and giving people joy and smiles. She enjoyed the outdoors, swimming and ice cream. Above all she loved spending time with her family. 

Bernadette was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother: Leo “Roy” Belisle. 

She is survived by her sons: Gerald Ed (Pat) Hasenberg of Tomahawk, Gary Michael (Pam) Hasenberg of Salem, and Gregory J. Hasenberg of Harshaw; sister: Joyce Paupore of Kingsford, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. EDT on Saturday Aug. 30 at St. Ann Mission Catholic Church located at 401 Elm St., Bergland, Mich. 49910. Luncheon to follow Mass. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Bergland.
