Dolores Mary Zellner

Dolores Mary Zellner (née Kemmer), 95, of Sayner, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in 1929 on New Year’s Eve in Milwaukee, to Louise and Joseph Kemmer, she is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Jim) Sutton. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bob, and her sister, La Verne. 

In 1949, she wed Joe Zellner, a master woodworker, and were the loving parents of Cathy, Dan, and Joe, Jr. They were blessed with six grandchildren, many great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Dolores was active in the Sayner community and no one ever left her home without something from her gardens. She worked for many years in the medical field, was an avid quilter, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. 

A celebration of life will be held in early September.
