Theresa Maria Malueg, 74, of St. Germain, affectionately known as Terri, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in Wausau.

Born on September 30, 1950, in Dachau, Germany, Terri was the beloved daughter of Hans and Katalin Windischmann. She moved to the United States and grew up in Milwaukee, where she graduated from Messmer High School and later attended classes at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

On October 24, 1970, Terri married the love of her life, Randolph Malueg. Together, they built a life centered on family, community, and shared adventures. They lived in several Wisconsin communities, including Milwaukee, Clintonville, Shawano, Marshfield, and eventually settled in St. Germain.

Terri’s professional life was as dynamic as her personality. She worked in banking and real estate, owned a children’s clothing store, and contributed to the Marshfield Community Foundation. A passionate volunteer, she gave her time to hospice care and the Plum Lake Library.

An avid traveler, Terri loved exploring the world with her husband, friends, and family. She especially cherished winters spent by the ocean. She also found joy in reading, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, and cross-stitching. As a fire reiki master, she brought comfort and healing to many.

Above all, Terri was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always present — traveling near and far to celebrate births, attend special events, and cheer on her grandchildren in their many activities.

Terri is survived by her daughters Lisa (Reed) Clayton and Robin (Jason) Shupe; her grandchildren Brandon (Ashley) Sharon, Ben (Kayleigh Hansen) Sharon, Jacob (Brooklyn) Sharon, Dannica Shupe, and Garrett Shupe; and great-grandchildren Knox and Tatum Sharon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Randolph Malueg, her daughter Tamara Malueg, and her parents Hans and Katalin Windischmann.

According to Terri’s wishes there will be no formal services, but please celebrate her life in your own unique meaningful way. Ascend Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Weston is assisting the family with arrangements. You may sign the family guestbook at www.ascendweston.org.

A memorial fund has been established in Theresa’s name at the Plum Lake Library, 8789 Peterson Street, Sayner, WI 54560. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for their compassionate care.
