Dolores “Dorie” A. Michalak

Dolores “Dorie” A. Michalak, 90, of Woodruff, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025 at Milestone-Woodruff.

Dorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the consummate volunteer, giving of her time selflessly to multiple community organizations such as the American Legion Auxiliary, Lake Tomahawk Lions Club & Snowshoe Baseball (for years known as the Pie Lady), and always always willing to contribute baked goods for church activities at St. John VIanney, and Holy Family Catholic parishes. Her contributions will be felt for years to come.

Dorie is preceded in death by her parents, James and Anne Chatham (Vukovic); husband, Robert; son, Greg; brother, James Chatham; and grandson, Joshua Michalak.

Dorie is survived by her sons, Michael “Mike” (Laurie) and Timothy C. (Annemarie); her beloved companion Dennis Hirtz; daughter-in-law, Karen Michalak; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff starting at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
