Megen Sue Troisi (Sutherland), 56, born December 27, 1968 in Woodruff, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, in Eau Claire, after her 22-year-long struggle with breast cancer. Megen was a devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend.
Born to Vernon Edgar Sutherland and Bette Lou Sutherland (Pukall), she was the youngest of 12 children. Megen attended Mercer High School and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, earning a bachelor of arts in sociology.
Megen joined the U.S. Army Reserves and served in a variety of positions that included illustration, psychological operations, and veterinarian sciences. Megen also worked as a nutritional counselor and held several positions in human resources.
Megen is survived by her son Gregory and her husband Mark. Megen was preceded in death by her father, Vernon E. Sutherland, her mother, Bette Lou Sutherland (Pukall), and her brother, Scott Sutherland.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Mercer Senior Center, 2518 Martha Lake Rd., Mercer, WI 54547.
