Joanne C. Reynolds

Joanne C. Reynolds, born January 7, 1943, passed into eternal life May 26, 2024.

Joanne’s passions included enjoying God’s creation in nature and many years involved in teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School at her church. She impacted the lives of many children and families in her years of service. She was also well known for her artistic abilities and for decades her homemade Christmas card was eagerly awaited by family and friends.

Above all, Joanne quietly displayed her faith in Jesus Christ as her savior and Lord. With dedication to her fundamental values and to her family, Joanne devoted herself to providing and caring for her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure and the privilege to know her.

She is survived by two sons, Brian (Jennifer) Reynolds of Brownsboro, Texas, and Derek Reynolds of Wausau as well as six grandchildren, Joel C. Ryan, Alyssa, Sara, Bekka, Eddie and Mondrea Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Pearl Heller, Sister Diana (Ronald) Bass, and brother Thomas Heller.

Tentative funeral services will be on June 1, with visitation at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. with light lunch to follow at Woodruff Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Hazelhurst Lakeside Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Check website for confirmation of service times.
