Elizabeth A. Dollard, 77, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Aspirus Howard Young Hospital in Woodruff. Betsy was born on May 8, 1947, in Rhinelander, to the late John B. and Gertrude (Nielsen) Grundy. She was married to Stephen Dollard on July 21, 1984; he survives.
Betsy grew up in Minocqua, where she was a 1965 graduate of the Lakeland Union High School. She worked for many years at Burton Industries in Hazelhurst. She later attended watchsmith school in Little Rock, Ark., to follow in her father’s footsteps as a watchsmith and jeweler. Betsy worked at Golden Karat Jewelers in Minocqua. After retirement in 2006, Betsy and Steve moved to the house they built on the Wisconsin River in Tomahawk.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Dollard; her son, Michael (Lori) Johnson; her daughter, Chanin Kelly; her stepson, Christopher (Lisa) Dollard; and her stepdaughter, Betsy Dollard-Thums. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Cassandra (Karl) Rose, Danielle (Pete) Cherny, Travis (Kamry) Kelly, Cody (Jephondra) Kelly, Nick Dollard, and Morgan (Luke) Stencil, in addition to 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude; and her brother, John C. Grundy.
