Jean Catherine Corrigan, 91, of Beloit, died on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Beloit Senior Living. She was born on March 2, 1932 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Mary Margaret (Golden) Williams. Jean was a 1950 graduate of Calumet High School. She married Bernard Thomas Corrigan and he predeceased her on December 15, 2013. Jean began her working career as a secretary for a large lawyer’s office and retired as the secretary and office manager for the Catholic Church in Minocqua. She is currently a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Jean and Bernie loved their home on the lake in Minocqua but moved to Beloit in their later years to be closer to family. She recently left her home and joined the community at Beloit Senior Living. Being a people person, she enjoyed entertaining and having parties in her apartment as well as being apart of her weekly bingo games. Jean also loved animals, especially her cats, which were a part of her entire life. Survivors include her brother, Bob (Donna) Williams and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Bernie, her siblings and their spouses, Mary (Frank) Fenton, Pat (Bob) Johnson, Jack (Delores) Williams, Margaret (Joe) Grish, and Eileen (George) Peterson. A memorial Mass of Christian burial for Jean will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 12, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2222 Shopiere Rd., Beloit, with Fr. Bart Timmerman officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 10:15 until 11:15 a.m. Friday in the church.
