Elizabeth ”Betty” Hiebing, 87, passed away on February 24, 2024, with her husband Thomas by her side. Betty was born December of 1936 in Sheboygan, to Frank Jr. and Genevieve Brunnbauer. Betty and Tom just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on February 23.

Betty was a loving Mom to seven children. Through the years she worked at different office jobs, all while doing an awesome job to provide at home for her family, especially producing all those ‘gastronomical goodies’ in the kitchen. Her cooking prowess was in force all the years she and Tom ran their German food restaurants in Longview, Texas and then in Rhinelander. Betty enjoyed reading, and in earlier years walks out to the lighthouse in Sheboygan, along the beach while in Port Aransas, Texas, and to the little lake by home in Arbor Vitae.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, son Peter, brothers Don and Robert, and by sister Ann. Betty is survived by husband Thomas; children Roxann, Dale, Philip, George, Charlene, and Brian; brother Alan; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. We will treasure all the wonderful memories we have because of Betty, and she will be deeply missed.

A Funeral Mass for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Woodruff.

Online condolences may be shared at www.nimsgernfuneral.com. Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services is serving the family.
