Ruzsica “Roza” Godollei

Ruzsica “Roza” Godollei, 79, of St. Germain, passed away peacefully in Green Bay surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Born January 12, 1945 in Subotica, Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia). She graduated college in Novi Sad, Serbia. She majored in child psychology and early childhood education and was a kindergarten teacher in Subotica, Serbia. In 1966, Roza, her husband and family moved to the United States and lived in Chicago. In 1977, Roza and her family moved to Pleasant Prairie. She is preceded in death by her parents, Josipa and Jelena; five of her siblings, Marica, Pero, Anica, Franjo and Vinko Ilovaca, all of Subotica, Serbia. Roza is survived by her husband, Laszlo Godollei, of St. Germain, whom she married August 7, 1964 in Subotica, Serbia; her children, Annamaria Moustakas (Chris) of Peoria, Ariz., Tony Godollei of Arbor Vitae, Andrea Jantzen (Dale) of St. Germain, Alisa Sosa (Elias) of Pleasant Prairie; grandchildren, Andreas, Antoni, Alexi, Christina, Kayla, Maria, Drezden and Jazek; great-grandchildren, Christos and Bennett; sister, Mira Skocovski of Subotica, Serbia and many relatives and friends. Roza worked at Lakeshore Flowers in Kenosha, as a manager for 15 years. She retired from St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Pleasant Prairie as a CNA for 18 years. In 2013, Roza and her husband moved to Minocqua. The last 10 years, she lived in St. Germain with her husband. Roza loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and reading. Roza will be remembered as a genuine, quiet, spiritual person. Roza’s family and close friends meant everything to her. She was a good listener. She never gave up and she believed in hope. A private celebration of her life with family was held on Saturday, June 22.
