Esperanza Quintero González, 80, passed away on July 9, in Minocqua. Born on April 22, 1944, in Bogota, Colombia, she was a beloved figure in her community and a cornerstone of her family.
Esperanza had a successful career in the telecommunications industry, where she was known for her dedication and passion. Outside of her professional life she was deeply involved in church communities at Holy Family Catholic Church and Northlife Church where she was a cherished member.
Her hobbies included sewing, painting, and various crafts, each of which she approached with creativity and enthusiasm. Esperanza was not just the life of the party; she brought the love to the party, filling any room with warmth and joy.
She is survived by her children, Viya-Esperanza (John), Sandra (Mauricio), Tony (Rachael), Guillermo (Melissa), Carolina (Zach); grandchildren Nathalie, Santiago, Phillip, Sabrina, Marlise (Ashley), Fabian (Mya), Sofia (Dustin), Marcela, Amiyah, James (Brianna), Sonia (Matt), Seth, Jacob, Zack, Kylie, Danika, Dallas, Sequoia, Victor, Ezekiel; great-grandchildren Sabrina, Valerie, Yesenia, Mateo, Zamora, Mason, Mariana, Maddyn, Carter, Jayce, Ryatt, Asher, Eleanor; siblings Conzuelo, niece: Angela; Reynaldo (Clara Ines), nephews: Ivan, Daniel, Andres, Gabriel; and many other loving family members including Andrew (Vicky), Estela; Adrian (Sally), Adriana and Ashton; Antonia, Amanda, Mariano, Marlise, Holly(Adam) and Brianna, Sandberg family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Mama Viya and Papa Edgar, and Antonio González.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m. at Northlife Church, 6065 State Highway 70, St. Germain. There will also be a public visitation for family and friends at Nimsgern Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m.
