Margaret (Peggy) Jane Schuenemann, a woman whose compassionate heart, love of family, and enduring Christian faith served as an inspiration to anyone that knew her, was taken by her Lord to heaven on July 3, 2024, in Northfield, Minn. Peggy was born on February 19, 1950, to Gilbert and Ethel (Hanser) Seager in Poynette, and was the youngest of six children. Growing up as a PK (pastor’s kid) she had the opportunity to live in Wisconsin, California, Texas, and Arizona.

Peggy attended college in Wisconsin where she met and married Karl Heinrich Schuenemann on August 16, 1970. Peggy lived in or near Boulder Junction, her entire adult life where she worked as a bank teller, manager, and loan officer. She was a strong advocate for Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Minocqua where she served Jesus for decades. Peggy will also be remembered for her love of her family, walks in the woods, and her dogs.

Peggy was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Worischeck and Barbara Klockziem; and her brother Gilbert Benjamin Seager. Survivors include her husband, Karl; her sister Jean Sechrist; her brother Pastor David Seager; both her sons and their spouses, Craig and Melissa Schuenemann, and Bryan and Erica Schuenemann; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Wednesday, July 10,  at Trinity Lutheran Church in Minocqua, followed by interment at Cemetery of the Pines in Boulder Junction.
