Patricia Anne Eliason

Patricia Anne Eliason (née Horan), 84, of St. Germain, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024. Born on November 5, 1939, in Chicago, she was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother.

After a long-distance courtship of seven years, Patricia married Jerry Eliason and moved to St. Germain. Jerry and Patricia, or Pat as she was known by friends and family, owned and operated Eliason’s Some Place Else Supper Club in St. Germain for 40 years. Their restaurant was well known as a place where tourists and locals enjoyed Friday night fish fries, live music and a welcoming atmosphere. 

Pat enjoyed scrapbooking, watching Hallmark movies and traveling. She and Jerry visited many countries including Italy, Switzerland, Austria and England where they sailed home on the QE2. Her favorite trip was an African safari in Kenya, where she found a love of giraffes which she later shared with her granddaughter. 

She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Jerry Eliason of St. Germain; son: Christopher Eliason of Orlando, Fla.; daughter: Jennifer Geist (Robert) of Huntsville, Ala.; and granddaughter: Amelia Geist of Huntsville, Ala. Pat was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Catherine Horan; and brother: Thomas Horan, Jr.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 12, at Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church in Rhinelander. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at noon, with a luncheon at the church thereafter. Pat’s life will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew her, and her memory will live on through the love she shared with her family and friends.
