Jerry Dean Lasater

Jerry D Lasater was born on June 25, 1947, in Malvern, Ark. and died on December 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow Wilson (Woody) Lasater and Opal Rucker Lasater.

Jerry lived in Arkansas, West Virginia, and Washington State following his parents as his father took supervisory jobs in the aluminum metal industry. He moved back to Arkansas when his parents moved there following his father's retirement in the late 1970s.

Jerry worked as a grocery clerk and became manager of the produce departments for the various grocery stores as he moved around the country. After retiring from the grocery business he volunteered at businesses providing assistance as needed.

After both parents had passed, Jerry moved in 2006 to the Minocqua area where his sister and her husband live. He enjoyed snowmobiling, ATV riding and volunteering at restaurants and bars assisting in their operations.

Jerry is survived by a sister Frances Lasater Cote (Roger) and brothers James D. Lasater (Wayne) of West Virginia and William T. Lasater (Pete) of Arkansas, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A celebration of life memorial is being planned for sometime next spring. Details will follow.
