Nancy Lobermeier

Nancy Lobermeier, 89, of Woodruff, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Milestone Senior Living in Woodruff.

Nancy was born on September 28, 1934 in Park Falls, the first child of Earland (Earl) and Agnes Nessman. On June 23, 1956, she was united in marriage to James (Jim) Lobermeier at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Park Falls. Nancy and Jim made their home in Woodruff. Nancy began working at the Woodruff State Bank and later the Lakeland State Bank until her retirement. 

She was a homemaker and the mother to three children. She was a good and faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was active in church organizations. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and watching her grandchildren grow. 

Nancy is survived by her husband Jim; her loving children John (Patty) Lobermeier of Minocqua, Susan Lobermeier of Minocqua, and Mark (Tami) Lobermeier of Wyoming, Minn.; six grandchildren Erin (Drew) Martin, Jamie (Tony) Chmielewski, Adam Lobermeier and his partner Adnan Penava, Kristen (Alan) Swanberg, Kelsey (Gordie) Gerds and Jena (Owen) Elizondo; four great-grandchildren Ethan and Malorie Chmielewski, Henry Elizondo, Eloise Martin; and sisters Mary Nessman of Robbinsdale, Minn. and Jane Hardginski of Marshfield. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Greg Nessman, Phillip Nessman and James Nessman; her sister Catherine Rose; and her great-granddaughter Grace Martin. 

Per Nancy’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Milestone Senior Living in Eagle River and Woodruff, Aspirus Hospital in Eagle River and Aspirus Hospice Services for their support over the last two months.
