Michael J. Eichhorn

Michael J. Eichhorn, age 70 of Winchester, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at his residence. Michael was born on August 22, 1953 in Racine, the son of George and Virginia Eichhorn. He married Sharon Potts on October 27, 1973. He worked as an upholster for 30 years while owning Hayes Upholstery.  He later received his BSN from UW Parkside and worked in nursing for 20 years. 

Michael was a kind, caring, dedicated father and husband. He had an inquisitive mind and was always dreaming about his next project. His interests were many; cooking, woodworking, gardening, antiques, cars, and history. 

He is survived by his wife Sharon and son Aaron (Kelly) and his beloved labrador Jet and by his grandchildren Miles Hayes and Sloane Juliet and further survived by his siblings Jim (Deb) Eichhorn, Sue (Mark Paquin) Dummer and his in laws; Mike (Patty) Potts, Sandy (Dennis) Egan, Judy (Keith) Sierocuk, and Heidi Potts and further survived by his nieces and nephews; Eric Potts, Nick Potts, Lauren Sierocuk, Kyle Sierocuk, Madeline Egan, Ava Lucht, Nina Egan, Sara Cain, Hayden Potts, Eric Eichhorn and Denise Kowaleski. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents George and Virginia Eichhorn and his brother-in-law Greg Potts.

Celebration of life will be held on June 22 at Reuland’s Catering North, 1571 Hwy. 51 North, Arbor Vitae, from noon to 3 p.m.
