Delores “Dee” Marie East Josephson Reese

Delores “Dee” Marie East Josephson Reese, 86, of Arbor Vitae, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Dee was born on November 13, 1937, in Bayfield, the daughter of Gerry and Rose East.

Dee was a devoted mother and wife, known for her kindness and affection. She had a profound love for animals, particularly as a lifelong dog mom. Dee is survived by her husband of 46 years, James “Jim” Reese, his son Shaun (Laurie) of Pensacola, Fla., and her six children: Peter Allen Josephson of Arbor Vitae; Leslie Ann Josephson (David) of Ashland; Jeffrey Wade Josephson (Mandana) of Newport Beach, Calif.; Christopher Wayne Josephson (Carey) of Tucson, Ariz.; Brett Charles Josephson (Ana) of Tucson, Ariz.; and Laura Marie Josephson-Singleton (Brian) of Ellicott City, Md. She was also a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to Alex (Chrissy), Emory, Evan; Austin (Kristen), Addison Rose; Brittany, Jazmine, Jaxon; Ashley Rene, Andrew; Sierra (Lewis), Ruby Marie; Kobe (Abby); Ben, Nick and Savannah.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Ace East; mother, Rose Ella Ronshausen; and sisters: Lillian Emaline Sopina, Carol Joan Wuerz, Dorothy Lorraine East, and Shirley Gail McCastle.

Dee graduated from Ashland High School and pursued various passions throughout her life, including sewing, crafting, cooking, entertaining, playing cards, dancing, and traveling across the United States.

Services for Dee will be held privately, with her ashes laid to rest next to her baby sister Dorothy in Bayfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to the Oneida County Humane Society at https://www.ochspets.org/about-us/donations/.
