Mark A. Wahlgren

Mark A. Wahlgren passed peacefully on December 6, 2024, surrounded by his family at the age of 72.

He was born on February 24, 1952, in Aurora, Ill. to Billy and Betty (Zeiter) Wahlgren.

Mark married his high school sweetheart, Nancy A. (Ritter) Wahlgren, on February 23, 1974, in Minocqua. They had two sons. Mark enjoyed working with his hands through woodworking, carpentry, groundskeeping, and anything that would take him outside. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to be in nature. Mark and Nancy enjoyed camping with their dogs in the peace of the Northwoods. You could often find Mark on the water fishing, and during his younger years, he also enjoyed hunting. Later in his more seasoned years, he could be found on the golf course, either keeping the fairways in tip-top shape or enjoying a round of golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Nancy of Boulder Junction; Daniell M. (Eileen) Wahlgren of Boulder Junction; Ryan C. (Diane) Wahlgren of Springstead; grandchildren Jayson R. Wahlgren, Madison A. Wahlgren, Emma E. Wahlgren of Boulder Junction; sister-in-law Merry Bolton of Vero Beach, Fla.; niece Lisa (Steve) Witmore of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

A service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at The Community Church of Boulder Junction, 10445 Main St, Boulder Junction, WI 54512. A luncheon will be held afterward at The North Lakeland Discovery Center, 14006 Discovery Ln, Manitowish Waters, WI 54545.
