Eleanor Angela Schroedel

Eleanor Angela Schroedel, 92 of Minocqua, passed away on Sunday, August 18, at her residence on Blue Lake with her family by her side. Eleanor was born December 22, 1931 in Rosholt, the daughter of Edward and Helen (nee Gilmeister) Gliniecki.

Eleanor met Henry Schroedel Jr. at the Ron De Voo Ballroom in Milwaukee in January of 1952 and were married April 20, 1953 at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Rosholt. Last April they celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary.

Eleanor enjoyed traveling, charity work and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Henry Schroedel Jr. and by her son Michael (Lisa) Schroedel of Kronenwetter, and daughter Geralyn (Jamie) Nimsgern of Minocqua, and by her grandchildren Madalyn (Justin Datka), Alison, Thomas Schroedel, Christopher Coates and Justin (Meredith Davey) Nimsgern, Jennifer (Andy) Paris, Annika Nimsgern and Caitrin Nimsgern and by great-grandsons Jacob Schroedel and Beau Larson and Enzo James Paris and her great-granddaughter Lainey Marie Paris born on Monday, Aug. 12. Eleanor is further survived by her sisters Dorothy Barry of Weston, and Irene (Warren) Wagberg of Stephenson, Mich. and her sister-in-law Agnes Gliniecki of Schofield, and by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Helen Gliniecki, her brothers Chester and Edwin Gliniecki, her sister Annie Gliniecki and brother-in-law Clark Barry and sister-in-law Evelyn Gliniecki and by grandson Samuel “Sam” Czaplinski.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services Fellowship Hall.
