Nancy Louise Bahr Hurd, 83, of Brookfield, peacefully passed away on August 2, 2024. Born December 31, 1940 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of Gordon and Beverly Bahr.

Nancy attended UW-Milwaukee and began a career of paralegal work in law firms in Milwaukee, Honolulu, San Franciso, Houston and Dallas. She was hard working and loved travel, reading and watching sports, particularly the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers.

Nancy married her old college boyfriend, Tom Hurd, Jr., at the age of 77 and they settled in Brookfield. She loved living in Wisconsin and enjoyed spending time with Tom’s children: Jennifer Hurd, Thomas Hurd III and William Garrett Hurd. Nancy also enjoyed her many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Tom, father, Gordon, mother Beverly and brother Gordy, Jr., nephew Brandon Bahr of Appleton, and niece Kelli Powell of Nolensville, Tenn.

She is survived by her brother Duncan Michael Bahr and sister-in-law Juanita Bahr of Crossville, Tenn., cousin MaryLee Bahr of Florida, nieces Jennifer Pence of Nolensville, Tenn., Kristen Olson of Johns Island, S.C. and nephew Kevin Powell of Nolensville, Tenn., sister-in-law Barbara Bahr, niece Breanna Koepke and nephew Aaron Bahr.

She lived the last two years at Care-Age nursing home in Brookfield, and, under the care of Allay Hospice of Milwaukee. Donations in Nancy’s memory can be made to: Allay Cares @ allayhh.com.
