One man was arrested late Friday morning as the result of an incident at the St. Germain Elementary School.

According to a press release from the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office, the dispatch center received a call from the school resource officer at Northland Pines High School reporting a disturbance caused by a child custodial interference incident in the main office of the Saint Germain Elementary School.

“Due to the nature of the disturbance, the school resource officer alerted Saint Germain Elementary school to go into lock down,” the press release states. “Upon completion of the investigation, it was determined that there was no direct threat to the school, students or staff.”

Ronald D. Olson, 63, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Vilas County Sheriff’s deputies and a warden with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources responded to the incident.
