Robert L. Gitzke Jr.

Robert Gitzke, 66, passed away at his residence in Woodruff, on September 27, 2023. He was born 1957 in Elgin, Ill.

A beloved son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Norma Gitzke of Hazelhurst. He is survived by three siblings, sisters-in-law, a nephew and niece. 

Bob was a graduate of Cary-Grove High School, Carey, Ill. He was a carpenter by trade and an avid outdoor enthusiast. His passions included bicycling and cross country skiing at Minocqua’s Winter Park or the Cable/Hayward Birkebeiner. He also enjoyed hunting with rifle, black powder or bow, ice fishing and long walks in the Northwoods. He will be dearly missed by his family. 

Bob was laid to rest at Minocqua Memorial Cemetery in a private service.
