James “Jim” P. Premo

James “Jim” P. Premo, 60, of Arbor Vitae, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He was born on January 9, 1963, in Chicago, the son of John and Jean (nee Craig) Premo.

Jim was the service manager for over 26 years at Haggerty Chevrolet in Glen Ellyn, Ill. He enjoyed music, fishing in his younger years, mowing the lawn, a good cigar, grilling steaks and the beautiful area lakes. But above all, Jim loved his daughters, Kaitlyn and Alexis; he was incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the paths they chose in life. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean Premo; sister, Peggy Premo; sister-in-law, Jamie Premo and beloved dog, Reese. Jim is survived by his wife, Janine Premo; daughters, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Schowalter and Alexis Premo; granddaughter, Olivia Schowalter; brother, Tom Premo and sister, Mary Pat Grossmann. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Bolger Funeral Home in Woodruff on Friday, Oct. 20.
