Beverly A. Nimmer

Beverly A. Nimmer, 92, of Minocqua and formerly of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Minocqua Health and Rehabilitation. Bev was born on April 25, 1931, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Edgar and Rachel (nee Voight) Nimmer. For many years Beverly worked as the secretary at Nimmer Meat Packing Co. in Milwaukee. In 1972, Bev made the permanent move to the Northwoods, where she had been coming to her parents home on Fence Lake since 1946. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, baking and being a hostess to company. Beverly was an avid bowler in her earlier years, having bowled in the Milwaukee Classic Bowling League with a 190 average. She enjoyed the Packers, Badgers, Bucks and Brewers, if there was a game on, Bev was most likely watching. Beverly was a life member of Elected Chapter #75 Eastern Star, a White Shrine Member, 43-year member of the Minocqua Country Club and member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Bev’s infamous 4th of July dessert will be missed at the Harts’. She had a love of dining out; especially at the Ding-A-Ling in Mercer for duck and The Guides Inn in Boulder for their broiled trout and veal liver. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Rachel Nimmer. She is survived by her dear brother, Richard Nimmer; numerous cousins and many dear friends in the Northwoods. Per Beverly’s wishes, no services will be held and she will be entombed with her parents at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Beverly’s name to Ascension Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 940, Minocqua, 54548.
