What is a bladed jig and when should they be fished?

Bladed jigs come in different weights and blade sizes. All are meant to move a great deal of water to get a fish’s attention. There are many different styles of bladed jig trailers on the market today, too, from smaller, compact trailers to large swim baits that can be used to add bulk and attract even more attention from a fish. When fishing a bladed jig, anglers should look to keep the profile and color of the jig and trailer as close as possible to available forage in the lake in which they are fishing.
