Jeffrey A. “Finn” Niemi, 64, of Arbor Vitae, passed away November 5, 2023, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Finn was born February 6, 1959, in Woodruff, and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1977.
Finn owned and operated Greater North Construction. He married the love of his life Patsy Moeller on May 31, 2014, on Pine Island on Lake Tomahawk Lake. Finn enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and was very involved with Vets & Guides. Watching the Packers was a favorite past time.
Finn’s legacy is not just in the memories of the countless lives he touched but in the countless good deeds he performed. He leaves behind a community profoundly grateful for his contributions and a circle of friends who will forever hold his memory dear in their hearts.
Finn was preceded in death by his mother: Sally Rousseau of Sarasota, Fla.; uncle: Jack Richardson of Minocqua; nephew: David “Crockett” Yuswak of Minocqua. He is survived by his loving wife: Patsy Niemi; stepfather: Ed Rousseau of Sarasota, Fla.; sister: Cindy Yuswak of Sarasota, Fla.; brothers: Mike Niemi of Sarasota, Fla., Tim (Becky Cuturia) Niemi of Webster; his “adopted” son: Tim Crall of Minocqua; niece: Amanda (Ken Gabe) Yuswak of Minocqua; uncles: Tim Richardson, Ed Richardson both of Minocqua, Terry Richardson of Alaska; Aunts: Pat Destauch of Green Bay, Marlene Filbrandt of Milwaukee, Corky Richardson of Minocqua; numerous other cousins, friends, and his beloved dog Dakota.

A memorial service will be held at Nimsgern Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 4 p.m., with a time of sharing to follow. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. To honor Finn the family asks that you wear camo or Packer gear to the service.
