Jerome “Jerry” Mandelke

Jerome “Jerry” Mandelke passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Carol J. (Swanberg) Mandelke, married 61 years on June 30, 2023; two sons, Christopher and Gregory; daughter-in-law, Kristine; and proud Papa to his five grandchildren Samantha (Chad West), Jonathan (who preceded him in passing) along with Madison, Miles and Melanie.

Jerry was a resident of both Minocqua and Cape Coral, Fla., but spent most of his life in Chicago where he was a restauranteur and a police officer for both Chicago and later the Cook County Forest Preserve. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Air Force and he enjoyed trap shooting through numerous trap clubs as well as classic automobiles. A memorial will be held at a later date.
