Thomas “Tom” Lindeman, age 88 of Clintonville, and formerly of Minocqua, passed away peacefully at the Veterans Home in King on December 5 with his family by his side. He was born on March 17, 1935, in Wisconsin Rapids.
Predeceased by his first wife Joan (Hartman) Lindeman, parents Franklin and Viola (Yetter) Lindeman and sister Nancy (Lindeman) Fischer.
Tom worked in the boat business with Hobby Smith, then on to his own landscaping business in Minocqua. He went on to help build and become superintendent of Timber Ridge Golf Course.
After his retirement from Timber Ridge, he began restoring vintage wooden boats, carving decoys and folk art. He enjoyed hunting birds with his boys, fishing, boating, collecting antique sporting items, folk art, ship watching, but most of all he enjoyed his family.
His love of laughter, pulling pranks on his kids and wife will carry on with his children. He will be remembered for the twinkle in his eyes and his kind and loving spirit.
Survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Penelope (Handley) Lindeman; brother, Dennis (Debbie) Lindeman; children, Martha (Todd) Michaelson, Wade Lindeman, Gretchen (Michael) Sasse, Joseph (Cynthia) Lindeman and Jacob (Hannah) Lindeman; grandchildren, Sarah (Steve Kowalski) Leone, Kathryn (Nathan) Waite, Alicia (Zachery) Zirbel, Roger (Abigail) Haglund, Mitchell Haglund, Jayson and Jackson Lindeman; great-grandchildren, Callaway and August Waite, Mila Zirbel, Otto and Roger Kowalski. Further is survived by his in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering for Tom will be held on Friday, December 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel, with a memorial service at 1 p.m. with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, plant a memorial tree through The Arbor Day Foundation or donations may also be made to the King Veterans Home in King.
