Anita L. Dionne

Anita L. Dionne “Sister,” age 83, of Lac du Flambeau, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Park Manor in Park Falls. She was born on May 7, 1940 in Lac du Flambeau, the daughter of Charles C. and Louise (nee LaSota) Peterson. Sister loved to travel, play Bingo and gamble at the casino, attend PowWows and spend time with her family and friends. She worked for 20-plus years for the WIC program in Lac du Flambeau. Sister is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Dionne; parents, Charles C. and Louise Peterson; infant brother, Stanley Peterson; brothers, Charles H. Peterson, Jr. and Byron Peterson and sister, Francine “Peachy” Peterson; nephew, Guy Wildcat; niece, Josephine Peterson; great great nephew, Raymond Wildcat and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her daughter, Jodi Dionne (Arnold Jack); brother, Bruce Peterson and sisters, Roberta “Birdie” Peterson and Brenda Jo Peterson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Bolger Funeral Home – Woodruff Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass.
