Orin W. Sayner
He was born in Sayner to George and Mary (nee Ernst) Sayner on September 7, 1925. He served in the U.S. Navy, being honorably discharged in 1946.
O.W. was the last surviving grandchild of the founder of Sayner, Wisconsin. His favorite pastime was golfing at Plum Lake Golf Course. Other interests were tending his garden, the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He worked for the Town of Sayner and was a former member of the Lions club.
He was preceded in death by a baby daughter, Orina and a baby boy, four brothers and two sisters. He especially missed his big brother Wesley, whom he had a very special bond with.
He is survived by his wife Mary; three sons, Orin (LuRae) Sayner III, Richard (Sandy) Sayner, and Wyatt (Christine) Benz; two daughters, Sheila Benz and Patricia Kolasinski; nine grandchildren, Orin Sayner IV, Michael (Amanda) Sayner, Kyle (Joy) Benz, Taylor (Joseph) Green, Cody Honick, Courtney Honick, Brenna Kolasinski, Allison (Jon) Cheeseman, Kennedy Kolasinski and six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him huge smiles.
Private graveside services with military honors will be held at the Sayner Cemetery
