Kay Frances Schroeder, 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at her home in Shawano. She was born on July 24, 1951, to the late Myron and Frances (Foster) Herrick in Tomahawk. Kay graduated from Minocqua High School and established her own cleaning business. She was united in marriage to Dennis Schroeder on April 4, 2003, in North Carolina. She enjoyed studying the Bible and was a member of Hope Community Church in Shawano. She loved animals and her time spent at the cottage on Shawano Lake. Kay was fond of the bullfrogs she heard singing and visiting her at her dock and tried to protect them from harm. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Bronson (Amy Nehring) Kahl, and Danielle Kahl; stepchildren, Paul Schroeder, Matthew Schroeder and Jason Schroeder; grandchildren, Destiny (fiancé, Andrew Hokenstad) Kahl, Bronson Spicer, Tritan Contreras, and Claire Schroeder; great-granddaughter, Lennon; and brothers and sisters, Myron “Roger” (Teresa) Herrick, Loren “Buzzy” (Nancy) Herrick and Myra Dallmann. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
