Dennis John Lane
He married the love of his life Jo “Jo Anne” (Nee Keller) Lane on May 17, 1969. They raised two sons, John and Doug. Dennis’ employment included being a printer, cabinet maker, grounds keeper, and a dialysis technician. His dream of being his own boss came true when he opened and operated the first health food store (Health Lane) in Merrill.
Dennis loved to hunt, fish, shoot archery and play pool. He enjoyed traveling and socializing. Dennis volunteered as a foster grandparent at Copper Lake/Lincoln Hills School from 2011 to 2012.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, William Donald Lane. He is survived by his wife Jo, sons; John and Douglas; grandsons, Camron and Kayden; sister, Donna “Dana” Jean Dassow. He is further survived by nephews, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Hazelhurst Town Hall, on Sept. 10, from 12:30 until 6 p.m. A service will be held at 1 p.m., with food and refreshments to follow. We welcome you to share in our laughter and tears by sharing your stories and favorite memories of Dennis. In memory of a wonderful with man with a great sense of humor, who is greatly missed by all.
