After graduating from Sheboygan North High School, Dave went to MIT in Milwaukee for Structural Engineering. He then went to work as a draftsman of metal buildings at Inryco-Inland Steel. He was drafted into the Army going to Vietnam for a year. Upon returning, he resumed working at Inryco-Inland Steel for 26 years before they sold which enabled him to retire at age 45. On Dec 27, 1969, Dave married Judy Kohlman, and they had 52 wonderful years together. They were blessed with son, Dan (Jill) and daughter, Cindy (Bob) LaRoss. Upon his retirement in 1992, they moved to Minocqua buying a home on fabulous Blue Lake which they loved and created many fantastic memories for family and friends. Most every day they enjoyed the lake. Dave finished building their home, enjoyed their children's many activities, and helped build Peace Lutheran Church as a very active member and leader. He was a fun-loving guy who made us laugh every day, sang his songs of all kinds, and adored his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Judy, above children, grandchildren Alex & Ian Luedtke, Courtney, Trenton, Aubrey, Brayden, & Hailey LaRoss, siblings Dr. Ken Luedtke (Lois decreased) & Dennis (Marlene) Luedtke, and brother-in-law Don (Mary) Kohlman, many nieces & nephews as well as numerous friends along with our great church family. He will be so greatly missed by so many!
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Peace Lutheran Church in Arbor Vitae with visitation at 10 a.m, service at 11 a.m., and lunch at noon. Bolger Cremation & Funeral Services is assisting the family, www.bolgerfuneral.com to share condolences.
