Ronald “Ron” Jerry Russell
Ron grew up in Waukesha, where he graduated from Waukesha High School in 1957. He worked for Mueller Pipeliners in New Berlin for over 30 years as an equipment manager. He retired in 2002 from Mueller and married Alice Cooling on March 20, 2002. They moved to Minocqua that same year to enjoy their shared love of the Northwoods. Ron loved snowmobiling in winter, and in summer he loved to ride his ATV on the trails. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and Lakeland ATV Club.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Alice; children: Patrick (Martha) Russell, Paula Joers, Katherine (Rick) Moulton, Sarah (Michael) Goss; granddaughter: Jessica (Fiancé Joel Vrunner) Mate.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, at Ascension Lutheran Church in Minocqua at noon. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers donations to Ascension Lutheran Church, Lakeland Pantry or Generations (Lakeland senior center) in Ron’s name are appreciated by the family.
