Jack D. Lantta, 86, of Arbor Vitae, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center-Minocqua. He was born on January 8, 1936, in Ramsey, Mich. He was the son of Fred, Sr. and Gertrude Lantta. He married Rose Marie (Trapp) on April 15, 1961, with whom he spent 61 years of marriage. He retired from the Department of Natural Resources after 32 years of service.
He also owned and operated Breezy Pines Mobile Home Park in Arbor Vitae for 25 years. He enjoyed ice fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed taking many hunting trips out West to Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his father Fred, Sr. and mother Gertrude Lantta; brothers Fred, Jr. and Robert Lantta. He is survived by his wife, Rose; three children, Pamela (Alan) Spatz, Douglas Lantta and Keith (Maggie) Lantta; two grandchildren, Whitney (Alan) Sauer and Christina Lantta; and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Rilen Sauer. He is further survived by his brother Richard (Sandy) Lantta, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the Marshfield Medical Center–Minocqua physicians and staff. 
A visitation for Jack will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow the services. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Arbor Vitae.
