Diane Marie (Wilt) Schlichting
Diane was born on April 8, 1946, in Springfield, Minn., the daughter of Roman and Cleova (Eickholt) Wilt. She earned her bachelor of science degree from St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn. Diane met David Schlichting in a chemistry class during the summer session at Mankato State in 1966. They got married on August 31, 1968, in Lamberton, Minn. Diane was the manager at EDS and retired in 1997.
She was involved with the Quilting Guild, and was a past member of the Levi’s & Lace Square Dance club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, knitting, quilting, birding, playing cards and traveling the United States with Dave.
She is survived by her husband David B. Schlichting and her daughter EvaMarie (Schlichting) Bybee and honorary granddaughters Becky and Stephany. Also survived by her sister-in-law Mae Morien and her special grand puppy Hunny Bunny. Many cousins of the Lamberton, Minn. area and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends from Minocqua and Madison.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents Roman Peter and Cleova Elizabeth (Eickholt) Wilt and also her Uncle Herman Peter Eickholt.
Memorial services for Diane will be held on Saturday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Minocqua.
