Joan McKinney
Joan McKinney, 92, made her final journey on May 5, 2022. Joan was a resident of Park Manor in Park Falls. She was born September 23, 1930, to Frank and Rose (Minarich) Grossner in East Chicago. Joan graduated from Griffith High School in Indiana. She was ahead of her time and very active in the workforce. She worked for the Greater Gary Chamber of Commerce, was a personal assistant at the Gary Post-Tribune, and finished her career at the American Association of Cereal Chemists. After retirement, she returned to Wisconsin to be closer to family and the peacefulness of northern Wisconsin. Joan loved and enjoyed spending time reading and with her family. Surviving members of her family include daughters Debbie, and April. Joan had a large family that included eight grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and many other extended family members. The family would like to extend gratitude and appreciation to Nimsgern Funeral Home and Park Manor for their loving care for Joan McKinney.
