A loved son and brother, Carl David “Davey” Turner, Jr., 53, of Minocqua, passed away at his home March 10, 2022. Davey was born June 10, 1968 in West Virginia to Carl and Phyllis “Mollie” Turner. He enjoyed and excelled at being the owner/operator of a local painting, staining and handyman service business. He painted the exterior of several prominent businesses in downtown Minocqua where his handiwork is still a part of the island’s charm. It was amazing to witness how he taught himself complex projects and executed them perfectly. He was widely known for assisting people in their time of need by providing residence, food and jobs. He loved fishing and being in the outdoors and especially loved his dog, Reba. He was known for his strong and deep religious faith. He is survived by his mom, Phyllis “Mollie” of Arbor Vitae; sister, Sherri “Sissie” (Gary) of Rhinelander; and sister, Terri (Norman); nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David. No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned.
