Leah was born in Woodstock, Ill. on July 30, 1975, and made her home in the Minocqua / Lake Tomahawk area for the past 18 years. She is survived by her twin brother Craig of Minocqua, her sister Carrie and brother-in-law Tom of Florida, her mother Sherry and step father Dan of Illinois, her father Craig Sr. of Wisconsin, her grandmother Irene and uncle Lee of Illinois, her uncle Don and aunt Sandy of Florida, her boyfriend Brian of Minocqua, as well as so many friends, nephews, nieces, cousins. Leah was an organ donor, pledging any and all donations to help those waiting in need, as well as donating to medical research and training. She understood the importance of donation, as she herself was several times an organ recipient. Leah’s wishes were for no funeral or service, as she never wanted to be remembered through sorrow or sadness. In lieu of, the family is considering a large potluck picnic this summer, where all family and friends will be welcome to come together to joyfully reminisce and celebrate her life. Notices would be posted in the paper weeks in advance. Should anyone wish to make a monetary donation on Leah’s behalf, her preferred charity would be the “Lupus Foundation of America.”
