Jerrold (Jed) R. Jolin of Boulder Junction, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2022. He was born in Birnamwood, on April 7, 1933 to Donald and Verle Jolin. Jed was the second of six children. He graduated from Lakeland High School along with his wife of 66 years, Line’t (Wahl) Jolin, who passed away December 25, 2017. Jed got his bachelors’ degree from the University of Wisconsin- LaCrosse. He had a successful career as a teacher and a coach in various towns in Wisconsin. He grew up on a resort in Boulder Junction where he was a fishing guide. It became his second career that eventually earned him a prestigious “Hall of Fame” award in 2003 as one of the best fresh water fishing guides in all of Wisconsin, memorialized in Hayward. Jed and Line’t settled in Whitewater, where they raised their four children, Diane (France), Jere (Minocqua), Lori (Madison), and Reid (Encinitas, Calif.). He is survived by his four children, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren that live all over the world. Jed will be laid to rest along side his loving wife in his beloved Northwoods. There will be a celebration of life this summer in Boulder Junction for friends & family, date to be determined. Jed had been residing at the Monona Heritage Senior Center for the past four years where he loved to sing and entertain. He will be missed by his family, his friends, and his caregivers.
