Sharon will be remembered as a kind, considerate, wise, and compassionate mother and caregiver for many. She grew up in the peaceful and traditional ways of the Old Indian Village with never a cross word. Sharon is also widely known for her homemaker skills particularly with wild game and fish. Sharon was also known for her piano playing abilities, playing by ear. She was an avid reader, reading daily newspapers cover to cover, doing the puzzles as well as many magazine subscriptions. She also loved to sew and make quilts. Sharon was always up for a game of Scrabble, Cribbage or cards. Often times card tournaments were held and whoever was lucky enough to be her partner would always win. She loved to tell jokes and stories about people who were long passed, and brought our ancestors to life through her memories. Like many others in her generation her early life was filled with hardship, yet also with cherished memories. She survived to bring her children and grandchildren into this world, and in the end that is what kept her alive and fighting for life She fought hard until the very end. Sharon is truly loved, admired, and respected by many. She will be greatly missed. We take solace that she is with her son Sonny, our dad Charlie, her husband Junior, her mother and father and all of our relatives. Gigawaabamiin miinawa, until we meet again.
Chimiigwech to all that came to pay their respects and to assist the family.
