Louis was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, graduate of Westminster College, 1962. During his college years he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Former CEO and retired chairman of the Board of Alsey Refractories Company, Alsey, Ill. He was on several boards, including The Refractories Institute, and Central Institute for the Deaf. During his younger years, he loved being a part of the Min-Aqua Bats Water Ski Club, and a lot of his interests and hobbies took him everywhere in the world. He enjoyed water and snow skiing, bone fishing, clay shooting, various gun clubs, as well as dove hunting in Argentina.
