Patricia “Pita” Stomp
Patricia “Pita” Stomp, age 86, formerly of Winchester, went to Heaven on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Born in Chicago on March 8, 1936. She was a hard worker having worked as a telephone operator while her children were little and later as the registrar of the Illinois College of Optometry until she retired. She earned her degree in psychology after her kids were grown. Once retired she moved to Winchester with her husband Larry. She decided to go back to work at the True Flight Feathers factory before retiring again. She enjoyed taking care of her granddaughter Becky. She was an active member of the Living Hope Church in Winchester. She often hosted Bible Study in her home until moving to Rhinelander. She was the best “Gma” and is so loved by her family. We were blessed to have had her. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, children (seven), many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, two sons, and one daughter. Graveside service will be held Monday July 11, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Living Hope Church in Winchester. Many happy returns to the day of thy birth may sunshine and gladness be given and may the dear Savior prepare you on Earth for a beautiful birthday in Heaven.
