Tom is preceded in death by his father, John Austin; mother, Ariel Lucille (Webb) Oungst; and two sisters, Colleen Anne (Dean Moon) and Mary Ellen (Jim Kusz).
Tom is survived by his wife, Deena Eilene (Handschke) Oungst; son, Troy Thomas (Laurie James), and daughter, Carmen Dee (James Vitton); as well as his two grandsons, Evan Troy and Austin James; nephews, Kirk and Kraig (Moon); and nieces, Michelle, Denise and Sue (Kusz).
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 9 from 2 to 5 p.m. at The Lodge at Manitowish Waters; Gathering Room. 13859 ILG Road, Manitowish Waters. Memorial donations may be made at aurorahouse.org or mail checks in memory of Thomas Oungst to Aurora House Foundation, PO Box 976, Weslaco, TX 78599.
