Elaine was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir and attended Bible study. She was a Secular Franciscan. Through her love of nature, she enjoyed bird watching, gardening, flowers, and was a member of the Audubon Society and Sierra Club. Elaine was an avid reader and enjoyed classical music. She also enjoyed poetry; she even had a poem published in the National Annual Anthology of High School Poetry. Elaine enjoyed spending time with family and her dear friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her sister Magdalyn Colli and by her many nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Clifford, her parents Christ and Clara, and by her brother Richard Scharenbrock.
Funeral Mass for Elaine will be held on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with a visitation from 10 a.m. till time of service. Reception will follow the mass at Nimsgern Funeral Home Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Marywood Franciscan Spirituality Center, 3560 Hwy 51 N, Arbor Vitae, WI 54568.
