Sharon Rose Renfree (nee Mickelson), born October 2, 1936 in Ottawa, Ill., passed away peacefully in her home on February 4, 2022. Sharon is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Raymond; sons Mark (Kathy) and Michael (Ann Marie); grandsons Matthew (Angela Baumgartner), Jack, Lukas, and Wyatt; sisters-in-law Ruth (late Donald) and Jean (late James) Fowler; nieces Sandy (Brad) Claypool and Linda (late John) Marshall; nephews Gary (Cathy) Wood and Dennis (Jill) Ryan; and numerous grand-nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by her son Gregory, her sister Sheila (late Robert) Ryan, and her parents Harry and Alicia Mickelson. Sharon and Ray retired to Lac du Flambeau in 1992 and spent twenty-nine blissful years in the Northwoods, where they made countless friends. She was a Lac du Flambeau Lioness, a member of St. Anthony’s Woman’s Club, and a volunteer at Lac du Flambeau Public School.  Sharon loved dinner parties, supper-clubs, pontoon rides on the Fence Lake chain, pinochle, and family visits to their lakehouse. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, warm-hearted grandmother, and cherished-friend to all who met her.
