John O. Becker
John O. Becker, 93, of Presque Isle, passed away on February 5, 2022. John was born on October 22, 1928 in Chicago, to Ormonde and Marie (nee Adams) Becker. He married Mary (nee Enders) Becker on February 5 1955. John earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from Beloit College and worked for People’s Gas Co. in Chicago for 30 years and retired in 1985.
John was a Mason and also was a pilot flying small engine planes and enjoyed fishing and painting.
He is survived by his son Reed and by his grandchildren Eric Taylor, Breanna Becker Richey, Cameron Becker, Misty Becker and Jeremiah Becker and by great-grandchildren Broderick and Brooklyn Richey and by his partner Angela Calvert.
Preceded in death by his wife Mary and daughter in law Ann (nee Oxley) Becker.
Upon his wishes cremation took place and private family services will be held at a later date.
