Arthur H. Foulke
Born in Kenosha, on June 6, 1942, he was the son of Harold and Viola (nee Newell) Foulke. His early life was spent in Bristol before moving to Brighton in 1954. He graduated from Paris Consolidated Grade School and Central High School in Paddock Lake. On October 10, 1964 at Wilmot Methodist Church, he was united in marriage to Susan Staudenmaier. Following marriage, they made Paddock Lake their home before moving to Brighton and in 2004 to Manitowish Waters.
Arthur worked in construction for Fox Brothers and Varvil Construction before starting his own business, FM Builders. He was a former member of Salem Methodist Church and member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He always enjoyed the outdoors and the animals he was able to care for. Also, it was very gratifying for him to do projects for people and to have them show satisfaction, of which 99% did just that. At least they made him feel that way. He also enjoyed his horses and especially spending time with his family.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Tracy (David) Jahnke and Amy (Michael) Hartke; grandchildren, Spencer and Reece Jahnke and Gabriel, Luke and Cole Hartke; and brother, Lyle Foulke. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clarence and Dale, and sister Carol.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all of the doctors and staff at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill.
A Funeral Service for Arthur will be held on Monday, February 7, at 5 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 7 from 3 until 5 p.m.
