Thomas “Tom” Hoeft

Thomas “Tom” Hoeft will be remembered as a remodeler extraordinaire, avid Packer fan and a really good grandpa.
Tom was born December 9, 1959 to Paul Hoeft and Betty (nee Kitzke) Rauch, in Milwaukee, where he grew up, and made many lifelong friends along the way. A graduate of Milwaukee Trade & Technical High School, formerly known as Boy’s Tech. Self-employed most of his life as a remodeler and builder, in 1992 he moved to St. Germain where he was the owner and host of Hoeft’s Cedaroma Resort. After the resort was sold, he continued working his craft of remodeling. 
Tom is survived by sons: Shane and Justin Hoeft; three grandchildren: Helana, Ryan and Gianni Hoeft; his siblings: Tim (Valerie) Hoeft; and Terry Elkins (nee Hoeft); along with Brother in law Phillip Pope Sr., nieces and nephews Dawn, Jenny, Roger, Tim Jr., Tanya, Vanessa, Phil Jr., and former spouse, Theresa Hoeft. 
Preceded in death by his son, Wesley Hoeft; sister, Tami (nee Hoeft) Pope and nephew, Jacob Pope.
Visitation for Tom will be on Saturday, August 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. with funeral service at 7 p.m. Burial will be held the next day, Sunday, August 28 at 9 a.m. at St. Germain Cemetery.
On behalf of Tom’s family, thank you to the amazing doctors, nurses and caretakers at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Their care and compassion is beyond compare.
