Peter F. Poupart
Peter F. Poupart, 87, of Lac du Flambeau, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at his home. He was born April 22, 1934, in Hayward, the son of Thomas and Dorothy (nee Bluejacket) Poupart. Peter was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James “Jimmy” Poupart, Edward Poupart and Anthony “Buster” Poupart and grandsons, Peter Jason Gilman, Michael Collier, Sheldon Williams, Jr. and Clayton Buckholtz. He is survived by his seven children: Flora Ann (Mike) Gilman, Arlene “Dorie” (Jan) Vasseur, Phillip “Joe” (Nancy) Poupart, Patricia (Wayne) Wesley, Mary Kay (Chuck) Collier, Theresa “Tessy” Poupart and Polly Vachon. Peter is also survived by his brothers, Tommy Poupart and Frederic “Biff” Poupart; sisters, Flora LaBelle and Cappy Landin and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 6, at the Multi-Purpose Building in Lac du Flambeau. A Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 7, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau.
The family of Peter Poupart wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff and care team at Peter Christensen Health Center for the loving care of Peter.
